Unit 6 Projects

Whimsical House 

Steps:

  • Made the base of the house with a ball of clay 

  • built up the walls 

  • added the roof 

  • made the window and door separately 

  • attached doors and windows 

  • hollowed out 

  • painted 

Prosses 

I love how this piece turned out it was challenging to make but fun. If I was to make this piece again I would make the roof thicker

Vessel with interesting feet (design on bottom)

Steps:

  • Rolled out clay ​

  • connected the sides 

  • made a bottom 

  • connected the bottom 

  • rolled out clay into coils 

  • connected coils to the bottom of the cup 

  • glazed 

Process 

This piece was easy to make but if I was going to do it again I would make the feet on a bowl instead.

Organic Shape 

Steps 

  • rolled out big coil of clay 

  • twisted it to the shape I wanted 

  • let dry and paint 

Process 

This piece was also fun to make, just to see how the clay would fall into place. If I were going to make this piece again I would make it bigger

Choice project 

Steps:

  • Made a small dish with clay 

  • The rolled-out coil to make an octopus tentacle 

  • added details to the technical 

  • attached tenticals and dish 

  • painted 

Process 

This is one of my favorite things I made this year, I wouldn't  change anything about it

Platter

Steps:

  • Rolled out ball of clay 

  • Made plater shape 

  • made leaves and stem 

  • attached leaves and stem 

  • let dry then painted

Process 

This platter was easy to make and turned out really cute. If I were going to make it again, I would make it smoother.
