Unit 4 projects

Series of four

I loved making these cups, loved the creative freedom we had while making these and the option of making plates cups or mugs

Plan:

-Rolled out four balls of clay 

- Made four cylinders 

- Made and attached bottoms to all of them 

painted them

Handel on piece 

This piece was very challenging to make because the ears and horns kept falling off but other than that it was fun. 

Plan:

- Rolled out a ball of clay on slab roller 

cut out the bottom of the mug and attached it to the already made cylinder 

-Molded the handle then attached it

- made the horns, ears and noes the attached them and painted

Lidded Box

Making this piece was really fun i really enjoyed being able to just have creative freedom

Plan:

- Rolled out a ball of clay

- cut the clay and put the two sides together

- cut out a round bottom and lid 

- molded the bottom to the cylinder

- measured the lid 

- made a small bow for the lid with the left over clay

Monster

This piece was fun to make but also hard because all the little horns and legs kept falling off

Plan:

-sculpted the body of the monster

- made all the little add Ons (Horns, tail, ears, wings, legs) then attatched them 

-painted

poem inspierd

This piece was not as exiting to make but still enjoyable because it was just two of the same thing 

Plan:

- Rolled out two balls of  clay on slab roller

- Cut two tile shaped squares 

- added boarders two each tile 

- made tree and leaves on each

- let dry 

- painted
