1. Wedge a large ball of clay then put it threw the slab roller 

2. Cut out a large rectangle from the flat clay then connect the ends of the rectangle to form a cylinder shape 

3. cut out a circle from the remaining rolled out clay to use as the top of the can  

4. connect the circle to the to the cylinder -make sure to slip and score 

5. Fire and glaze 

Some things I would do differently if I was going to make this again would be to make sure that the top of the can is scored and slipped so it doesn't fall of again and to apply more coats of the yellow glaze 

Andy Warhol was born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and is a key figure in the Pop Art movement, known for turning everyday objects and celebrity culture into iconic art, like his famous Campbell's Soup cans and Marilyn Monroe portraits. His work challenged traditional art by embracing mass production and repetition.

I was interested in Andy Warhols Tomato Soup painting because it turns something as ordinary as a soup can into piece of art, making me see everyday items in a new creative light.
